About Second Sight Productions

Welcome to Second Sight Productions, where we aim to produce high quality specialist countryside and machinery programmes on DVD, with an occasional foray into book publishing. The company, set up in 2000 by Alan James, has gone from strength to strength, rapidly becoming the first port of call for many a tractor enthusiast having earned a reputation for the reliable quality, creativity and excellent content of its programmes.

Alan’s extensive experience in programme production enables him to drive SSP forward with confidence. Based in offices in his garden, he does a lot of the filming, script writing, editing and produces all SSP programmes, as well as having an involvement alongside Marian in the day to day running of the company.

Marian Fell joined the company in 2005 when the business had grown to a point where there were no longer enough hours in the day for Alan to make programmes as well as keep on top of all the orders and admin. This side of the business, along with the processing and packing of orders is dealt with by Marian. Now knowing more about tractors than she would care to admit, she still prefers horsepower of the four legged variety.

Ryan Brazier recently joined SSP and has extensive experience in programme making. He is bringing fresh ideas to Second Sight where he helps Alan with all programme production as well as being the website expert.

Jonathan Whitlam has developed into Second Sight’s technical adviser, also helping out with script writing and filming. Jonathan can't believe his luck as he now spends his days either filming farm machinery or driving it!

Maisie the Parson Russell Terrier spends most afternoons in the office dozing on her favourite chair with sporadic visits to check on the hens that live at the bottom of the garden!
